Privacy Policy

• When you ask for a price or book: your name, phone number, email, the service address and how to reach the items (stairs, gates, parking), what you want removed, and the photos you send us by text, through our form or in a message.
• When you call or text us: your phone number and the content of the conversation.
• When you message us on Instagram or Facebook Messenger: your messages and the account ID Meta gives us for you.
• When you approve a price or sign a work order on a screen: the items and total you approved, the signature image, the time, the device and the internet address it came from, so both of us have a record of what was agreed.
• During the job: photos of the items and the area before and after, to record what we removed and how we left it.
• Payment: card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or keep your full card number.
• Basic technical data your browser sends (such as device type and the pages you open), used to keep the site working. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

• To price, schedule and do your job, and to send you the price, confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, changes and your copy of what you approved, by text or email.
• To keep a record of what you approved, what we removed and where it went (recycled, donated or disposed of).
• To answer your questions and improve our service.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Only our small team sees your details, including the crew on your job, who need your address, your photos and your notes. We use trusted service providers to run the site, store records, send texts and emails, take card payments and answer the phone and chat; they process your information only to provide those services to us.

Calls, texts and chats may be answered by our receptionist, which may be an AI assistant, and may be reviewed by our team to follow up on what you asked. Phone calls may be recorded and written out; you hear this at the start of the call.

If you ask for a donation receipt, we give the charity your name so it can issue one. Recyclers and disposal sites get the items, never your details.

Photos of your items and the area are visible to you on your job page and to our team. We publish before-and-after photos only with your permission, with faces, plates and house numbers hidden.

If you give us your mobile number and agree to texts (by ticking the box on our price form, or by texting us first), we text you about your job: your price, confirmations, reminders, arrival updates and changes. Message frequency varies, usually 2 to 6 messages per job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. We do not share, sell or rent your mobile number or your text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

When you message us on Instagram or Facebook Messenger, our receptionist answers and our team may join the conversation. We keep your messages, our replies and the ID Meta gives us for your account so we can follow up and book your job; Meta processes them under its own privacy policy. To have them deleted, email hello@samedayjunkpdx.com with your Instagram username or the name on your Facebook account, or call or text (971) 000-0000. We delete them from our records within 30 days and confirm by email or text.

We keep job records, signed agreements, invoices and payment records as long as needed to serve you and to meet tax and legal needs (signed agreements and invoices for seven years). To see or delete your other information, email hello@samedayjunkpdx.com.

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

The site uses encryption (HTTPS), and access to your records is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
