Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026. By asking for a price, booking, or approving a price or work order with Same Day Junk PDX LLC ("Same Day Junk", "we"), you agree to these terms.
How pricing works
We price by the space your items take in our truck, from a minimum up to a full load, plus set fees for some items (for example refrigerators and freezers, mattresses, tires, TVs and paint), and by weight for heavy materials such as concrete, brick, dirt and tile. Stairs beyond the first flight, a carry longer than about 100 feet, taking something apart and extra labor are priced as their own lines, so you can see what each part costs.
The price we send you from your photos is the price you pay, unless what we find on site differs from what you showed us: more items, heavier material, items we can't take, or access we weren't told about (stairs, an elevator, a long carry). If it does, we tell you the new price before anything is loaded, and you decide.
Approving a price
Before the visit you approve the price by signing on your phone from the link we send. On site, any change is a new price that you approve on the crew's phone before we load. We text you a copy of everything you approve.
By signing or tapping to approve on a screen, you agree that your electronic signature is as binding as one in ink, under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act as adopted in Oregon and Washington.
Your right to cancel
If you sign an agreement with us at your home for $25 or more, Oregon law (ORS 83.710 to 83.750) and Washington law (RCW 63.14.154) give you the right to cancel it, for any reason, until midnight of the third business day after the day you sign. To cancel, send us a written notice by then: a text, an email or the notice of cancellation that comes with the agreement you sign. We return anything you paid as the law requires.
Most jobs are done within days of the price being approved. If you want the work done before those three days are up, you confirm that in writing when you sign.
Arrival windows
You pick a 2-hour arrival window. We text when we're on our way. If we're running late we tell you, and if we can't make the window we offer you a new one at no charge.
Rescheduling and cancelling
Rescheduling or cancelling a visit is free until 24 hours before your window: from your booking link, or text or call us at (971) 000-0000. Inside 24 hours, or if we arrive and can't do the job (nobody home, the items not reachable, or only items we can't take), a $50 fee applies. This fee never applies to a cancellation under your right to cancel above, and never when we're the ones who move the visit.
Your items
You confirm that you own the items or have the right to have them removed. Landlords and property managers confirm they have followed Oregon's or Washington's rules on a former tenant's belongings before we remove them.
Once loaded, the items are ours. We donate and recycle what we can and dispose of the rest, and we decide where each item goes. We can tell you where your load went, and we pass on a donation receipt when the charity issues one. Items we take aren't returned, and we don't search them for valuables: please check pockets, drawers and boxes before we come.
What we don't take
Hazardous materials (asbestos, fuel, oil, solvents, pesticides, chemicals), roofing, medical waste, ammunition and fireworks, and anything leaking. We take at most 4 tires per visit. Hot tubs only when free-standing and already disconnected by your electrician. If we find hazardous or unsafe items in a load, we leave them, and if nothing else can be taken the visit fee above applies.
Access and your property
Please clear a path to the items and tell us about stairs, elevators, gates, parking and long carries when you ask for a price. We take care with floors, walls, doorways and driveways. Ordinary marks from a truck or from moving heavy items on an ordinary driveway or lawn aren't damage we cover; if we were careless, tell us within 48 hours and we'll make it right.
To keep a clear record for both of us, we photograph the items and the area before and after. You can see those pictures on your job page. We never publish them without your permission, and anything that could identify you, such as a face, a plate or a house number, is never shown.
Payment
Payment is due when the job is done, by card, cash or the other methods we tell you about when you book. A price we send you may show a card payment link; paying by card is never required.
In Washington
In Washington we offer junk removal and cleanouts (item removal, recycling and donation runs) and labor-only loading of your own dumpster or truck. We don't collect bagged household waste and don't offer a regular pickup service.
Text messages
If you opt in to text messages (by ticking the box on our price form, or by texting us first), you agree to receive texts from Same Day Junk PDX about your job: your price, appointment confirmations, reminders, arrival updates and changes. Texts are optional and not required to get a price or to book; consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, usually 2 to 6 messages per job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help; you can also reach us at (971) 000-0000 or hello@samedayjunkpdx.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your number, and samedayjunkpdx.com/sms for how you sign up, step by step.
Our receptionist
Calls, texts and chats may be answered by our receptionist, which may be an AI assistant; it tells you so when you ask. Calls may be recorded; you hear this at the start of the call. A person reviews anything the receptionist can't answer.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms for new jobs, never for a price you've already approved. Questions? (971) 000-0000 · hello@samedayjunkpdx.com
